when a need exists, a want follows. that’s how co-founders Lisa Hickey & Jen Menchaca viewed the t-shirt world. “we are t-shirt girls. we live in jeans and tees every day.” Jen Menchaca, co-founder. the brand is centered on essentials made with quality fabrics milled in california. founded in 2020, two friends and colleagues saw that something was missing from the industry. “we felt there was a gap and a real opportunity. we wanted to build a t-shirt brand that was available year-round so customers could refill their favorites. we began with 7 styles. 3 of them remain among our best sellers today.” Lisa Hickey, co-founder.

together, the pair brings more than 30 years of fashion industry experience. Jen previously built a successful t-shirt brand in the women’s contemporary market, and Lisa owns a multi-line NYC showroom in this category, along with three retail stores carrying women’s elevated casual basics.

perfectwhitetee launched on what felt like the ideal first date: national white t-shirt day, February 11, 2020.
